Why do saabs need so many repairs????(seriously) I mean I like my 91 900 but it seems to need my attention every month or so. A harmonic balancer here a heater control valve there, broken fan , wheel bearing and on and on. These are exspensive cars when new and the quality in manufacturing is very good from what I hear. My 91 ford F150 just runs and never complains and when I need to change the component belt it is a matter of one ratchet and one serpentine flat belt drives all components. saab seems to jam things into impossibly tight spaces and use alot of parts. I'm not really bitching because I like the car but I bought it because everyone said they were reliable and now it's my project car. Do people own these cars because of how they look and how they drive when they are in good working order and just put up with all the repairs out of love for the car????? If that's the case I completely understand ,but is there a quality issue that I should be aware of. In spite of my rant "long live saab" .......hopefully mine which only has 79,000 miles on it.
