FIX OR SCRAP?

Ok, here's the scenario. I got into a fender bender this morning -- I spaced out and rear-ended a brand new Celica with my '92 900S. Apparently, the Celica's bumper is higher than the SAAB's, which meant that in the process of barely scratching the bottom of his bumper, I got my grille, headlights, AC condensor and hood smashed in. I couldn't believe it. Of course, I stopped carrying collision insurance last year, so it's coming out of my pocket. The body shop is estimating about $3800. My car drives great, and it doesn't look like the chassis got bent. On the other hand, its got 140,000 miles, and still has a lot of original parts (e.g., clutch, tranny). Alternatively, my SAAB mechanic says he can do a half-assed job for about $1500, but I'm not even sure if the hood will match the rest of the car. The body shop says it will look brand new. Do I go for it, or throw in the towel? I'm trying to save $ because we just bought a house and are expecting a baby. Besides, I want to see what the 9-3 v.2 will look like. Another idea was to try to pick up a '97 Aero for a couple of years. Whaddy'all think? Thanks.
