I have been using 10w30 castrol syntec blend in my engines for afew years now. I swapped to blend in my 88 9kt at 300,000 and now has 350,000 and runs like a champ, much smoother than before. I have also used it in my 87 spg and it worked very well. Now i use it in my new to me 91 9kt an di t really made thing quiter. If your car is running well but has some mile son it i would recommend the blend. good luck,
adam
