Chainsaw? I don't want to know. What makes putting the stereo down there any easier for a thief to remove it? I disagree, since it always seems harder to get the head unit back out when installed in the lower slot. I just did it, twice, this past weekend (in different cars) and in another car moved one from the top slot down to the bottom slot.
Of course, if a theif has to use a chainsaw, then he's just an idiot, and needs to find a new profession.
I agree with the suggestion to purchase an Alpine, by the way. That is all I will buy now, after having problems with other companies left and right. I have owned 6 Alpines now, and I've never had a problem.
