Transmission Pan leak

Hi,
Brought my 89 900 auto to the shop and they told me that the transmission pan leaks and needs replaced. Costs $365 for the job b/c it is the "old style" pan. Also, they stated the tranny fluid is very dirty but was fine just 3 months ago.
Was wondering does anyone know the price of the old style pan? Is a used one OK? And is it a difficult job for someone who only has experience changing oil etc...to change the pan?
They also said a tranny flush is recommended. Would I be able to do this myself? thanks in advance for any replies.
