although i live nowhere near Andrews i have heard nothing but real good things about them on this board. I bet if you ask them to open the plates and give you a rundown on what they see you will get the straight scoop from them. you should be able to hit all gears to make sure it shifts and check diff backlash. also look to see how chewed up reverse gear(s) is. andrews may do the reverse gear hack for just a few dollars. ( remount rev idler linkage arm to increase mesh depth ) Look for big pieces of metal in the oil. post a message asking about Andrews of Princeton. I bet a saabnet'r can give you first hand feedback about them and give you a contact name.
