Mirror and Gas Cap

On my 89 900 NA, the glass from the passenger rearview mirror just fell off while driving and broke in pieces. What is the best way to fix it? Do I need to replace the whole unit or can I just replace the glass?
Also, I lost the fuel tank cap. Can I just get any replacement or does it have to be a Saab? I live in the LA area, and there aren't too many Saabs in the junk yards around here.
I would be grateful for any suggestions...
Thanks, Harold
