where did the MTL (redline 70W80 GL4 gear oil) step come from? .... this step is not recomended.
In your case, (prior gear oil):
1) purge run, compressor oil (20W, or 2nd choice 30W)
2) 75W90 synthetic gear oil for HOT Florida (thicker than MTL or 10W30)
choice of:
Amsoil 75W90 GL5 (system 2000?) your preference, I don't recall posts on shifting performance.
Neo 75W90 GL5 (in my box, shifts well in cold too)
others, mixed shifting review:
Redline MT90 75W90 GL4
Mobil-1 75W90 GL5
Valvo-Synth 75W90 GL5
