Kyle, first up you should check your oil presure with an external guage. If thats o.k. have a good look at the oil feed pipes running accross the cam shafts. Any small cracks or leakages will result in oil starvation. While your there, check and double check the valve timing using the marks on the camshafts. I have seen shop after shop time the camshafts incorrectly. This will cause a less than acceptable idle. With the running problems, your A.P.C will only be allowing basic boost as long as the lifter noise remains, however your other pproblem with stumbling etc is probably not linked to this. I always go through this basic routine before even starting to diognose....Clean out the throttle body, clean out the idle control valve, adjust base idle, check/adjust throttle position sensor and check other basics like fuel and air filter. If all this is o.k than I can tell you that the most comon part to fail is the air mass metre. If you have a mate with the same modle car, fit his and see how it goese. If not, I'm a bit lost as this model has other comon problems, such as computers etc. Good luck...drop me a line if your stuck.
