Everyone, thanks for the great response so fare. The body shop wants $2,000.00 to fix it. $500.00 in parts. The damage is all just “sheet metal, and the great plastic front grill stuff. No mater what I will keep the car. My goal is to get them to pay up to $2,000.00 to fix the car, or pay me $3,000.00 with me keeping the car. I know the Insurance company in part is afraid of O.K.’ing the $2,000.00 and getting stuck for more stuff. But the damaged is such that there ant no more that could be hiding. I drove it 20 miles to the body shop. Ran fine. I also looked under the hood etc. And like all good Saab owner I know my car. The look, the feel, and every sound it makes (or should not be making). I did find an 84 that sold last year ay action for $6,000.00 (much lower mileage). The neighbor really was upset about what she did. My insurance company is just f--- with me. They paid out $2000.00 last year to fix it when I was hit when parked.
Please keep the info coming. I never owned a Saab before this car, and it made me fail in love with it. I never had a car last over 100,00o miles before. I replaced the clutch only once at 175,000. The car still has the original turbo, and it burns and blows NO OIL. Like I said. Best car I have ever owned.
