I have done this several times. My location technique is to place the entire assembly on the window, get it located with the mount plates in the proper places and then mark the location of the plates with tape as guide for placement. I then take the four mounts off the louver and mount them, then reattach the louver. Couple things I have learned by trial and error. My mounting plates were slightly bent each time. You need to get them shaped so they fit flat on the glass without any pressure or the adhesive/tape will work to pull away because of pressure from the plate trying to go back to its pre install shape. If you have the mounts that go under the window gasket at the bottom be sure to reseal the gasket to the glass and around the plates so no water can get in. If you don't seal them you will have what I have currently which is that the gasket fills w/ water and then drains out onto the seat back when you put the hatch up. Good luck. Bob
