be careful each time you start it that a cylinder isn't full of water. That can cause all sorts of bad things like bent rods. Do this by taking the spark plugs out and cranking it over. This should be needed only when the car has sat for overnight or longer. Stopping for gas and a burger should be okay. Drive with the radiator cap loose to keep the pressure in the cooling system down. This helps to slow down the water going into the cylinders. Also causes the car to overheat. Hence, watch the temperature gauge.
