The link KeithG mentions is good - just remember, you only want the last part.
Always disconnect the ground wire from the battery before you do anything. Why the ground and not the positive? If you accidently lay a metal tool between the positive and the negative, it will be big sparks, maybe fire, and definite harm. The chassis is ground. If you put a tool on the positive terminal, you are surrounded by ground, and the chance for a big mistake. If you remove the ground wire, if you accidently hit the chassis with your wrench, no biggie.
Once the battery ground has been removed, look at the back of the alternator. You'll see a diamond-shaped dohickey on the back held on with two screws. It will look very similar to the regulator you've just bought. Remove the two screws, and lift the regulator out. Then just lever the new regulator into place. Once you see it, you see how simple it is. Really.
Reconnect the battery, and you're good to go. You do have the radio code for the radio, don't you? The radio needs a code if it's removed from the car, and disconnecting the battery makes the radio think it's been removed.
Good luck!
