While in my very early 20's, my best friend bought an '84T at auction and taught me to drive a 5spd - I loved the handling. A few months later, a now reformed car-stealing-friend "grabbed" an '86T16v, allowed me to drive it once and I was hooked! I'm now on my 6th and 7th C900s ('85&'87 SPGs). I hated them before I drove one; I thought they resembled frogs. However, like a not-so-attractive member of the opposite sex who treats you like a king and has a sparkling personality, the more time you spend with them the more beautiful they become in your own eyes. Let's face it, how many 15 years old cars look at home in the parking lots of specialty shops, offer most power amenities and leather seating surfaces, can be made to out perform many later model cars and be purchased at a song while providing the owner reasonable cause of 200K mileage expectations?
