Hi Mike,
I have a MSD BTM installed on my car and I love it. I usually turn down the retard while driving around in town since I rarely boost above 7psi. However, when I go for a long canyon drive I bump up the retard. When I do that I can remain at a higher boost. I wish the retard knob had a finer resolution, just a knudge of the knob makes a big difference in my world. My timing is set at 19 BTDC at idle and the retard mechanism on the vacuum advance has been neutered.
On a different topic how do you like your new intercooler. Did you notice a big improvement? Kevin K. has stated that the pressure drop is quite large and from what I can see it doesn't look like it gets a good supply of fresh outside air. I have all the parts and have read the installation guide and I'm wondering if I should also install a fan and an autospeed controller.
Todd
