Hello all-
I am currently prepping my trusty 87 900t (87k) to be sold. Why sell you ask? I'm upgrading, either to an SPG or a VW Corrado. There is a deep, emotional debate raging in my soul over wether I should go with an spg or the vdub, but alas that is not the subject of this posting.
I recently had my fuel filter replaced by one of the local chain shops. (Kost tire/muffler I think) I was gonna do it myself, but the damn thing was so rusted on there that I decided to pay someone to fiddle with it.
After getting my car back, I have noticed that it takes it significantly more time to start up. I used to be able to start on the 3rd or 4th crank every time. Now, it sometimes takes a good few seconds to start. I've waited several days with no noticeable improvement. Anyone have any thoughts?
There is no change in performance otherwise, idle is smooth, the power is still all there right through the rpms up to highway speed, same as before - which in my mind rules out any sort of fuel starvation issue.
Anyone know how a fuel filter change could effect starting time but not have any other effect?
TIA,
Nate
