Keep in mind the 8v cis has transit enrichment. The cold start injector sprays everytime you crack the throttle till the engine warms up. Pull the cold star injector and make sure this system is working. The cold start injector also sprays while the starter is working on cold starts.
A trick I learned long ago was to use a 011 CPR for a VW rabbit and a 104 Aux Air regulator for a 320I BMW ..... with these parts you have the perfect choke action and fast idle. The numbers are the last 3 of the Bosch part number. ;-)
On the 84 -86 900 8v there was a thermal sensor update that eleminated a bad hesitation between 60 - 70 degrees F. The sensor in the kit has a RED head. You installed it in the housing under the thermostat towards the drivers side that had a plug in it, You then moved the 2 wires from the old switch next to it to the new switch. This switch kept the transit enrichment active till the motor reached 100 degrees F. The part nuber WAS 8818015. Saab says they no longer offer it!
