Transient enrichment was supposed to be extended with this new switch, but it really did nothing since it is in series with the thermo-time-switch with a 77 degF open point, which was moved to t-stat housing, per SB on your site.
the original switch was moved to the manifold location, and became a lock-out for the lambda, by way of decel relay.
This mod does little for the 84, unless there was a cold start problem, and a lot of cranking than opened the thermo-time-switch, and thus brought lambda control in too soon. The mod removes the diode that links that lock-out function to the thermo-time-switch.

since none of these kits or related parts are available, the best thing to do is to retro an old M87+ housing, that has the red switch on it, and use the red switch for the lock-out function. shuffling other 2 switces around is not that important.
I could not use a later red switch in my oem 83T housing, since the plug and thread were 17mm, and the red switch is 14mm. I think bigger (obsolete) switches came with the kits.
