Beware Jiffy Lube

Their techs are pretty clumsy. They've dislodged vacuum hoses and pulled the ground wire from the oil filter housing on my car. My alternator died right after THAT one, but I haven't got an official word on whether a loose ground wire would toast an original (!) alternator. I've also heard the horror stories of Jiffy lube techs fouling up trannies because they stripped the bolt on the drain plug, or didn't fill it at all after their drained it (yikes!)...after all that I think folks should just stick with having a Saab guy do it on the weekend. It may cost more, but the stories and the opportunity for serious engine problems seems to be way too high.
