If your crank and cylinder bores are fine, you won't be much further ahead with a different engine. It would be foolish to just slap a new one in w/o replacing all the seals and evaluating the rod/main shell bearings. You have a turbocharger and cooling system problem that you will still need to look into no matter what path you choose for the engine. Neither option is a 2 days w/o the car scenario. Pull yours and tear it down and see what you have. Unless you've cooked it, run it w/o oil or broken the chain, you could come out ahead sticking with what you've got.
