Gavin,
Back in November I replaced the healthy hooter in my Beastie with an SPG9 upgraded unit, and wrote down the steps I took and problems I encountered on the way. I don't know if your '91 is substantially different than my '87, but hopefully the procedure I used will work for you.
Print it out for reference. Click "more from Monster" above, then Next 50 Posts until you get back to November 6th. Find "SPG9 Upgrades, the Hooter Valve" on the list.
Good luck, and let me know if you have any questions. You can do this job yourself, so don't be afraid to tackle it.
