Yes you can. There are the metal clips front and rear @ bottom, but also you will need to remove the seat back from the lower seat to access the metal rods on each side that hold the sides of the leather down. You will then find under the seat area from the bottom - I think two places where a tie from above is secured through the bottom support. These ties secure a horseshoe shaped meatl rod that is sewn in below the horseshoe shaped seam in the leather. I'll bet it is aportion of this seam that is letting go. I have repaired this - there is a loop of fabric that holds this metal loop under the seam - on my seats this fabric had deteriorated, letting the metal slip out of place, subjecting the seam to the stresses of being sat-upon, thus tearing out the seam. I went to an auto upholstery shop and found that this is a common construction and a folded fabric is made, designed just for this application. I got some, cut away all the old and restitched the entire seam adding this loop to hold the metal rod. I did not cut out the old stitching because I wanted the seam to stay together while I stitched. I used a ' Speedy-stitcher' that I got at a sports store. It is a handle with a thread spool to feed a needle so you can push a loop through and feed a second thread through the loop on the other side and create a loched stitch that won't unravel. It is a fairly straightforward project though I was glad to have an extra seat to use while I had mine apart. E-mail me if you have other questions.
