I used a small amount of mineral spirits in the compressor, shook it around, and poured it out. I did this a number of times and it worked fine. The mineral spirits is compatible with the R-134a oil. So any small amount left inside wont matter. I used a liquid spray attachment for my compressor to flush out the condensor and the evaporator. I think total, I used 8oz. of replacement oil for the entire system. If you are replacing the receiver/dryer(a must) and are going for new expansion valve, and hoses. The only residual oil left in the system will be in the condensor and evaporator. If you flush them, any mineral spirits left benind, after flushing wont matter much.
