There is no effect on steering. I don't think there is any rolling resistance, but then it was probably like this since I bought it so maybe I wouldn't notice.
My pads don't seem to be applying any real pressure on the rotors, but is it normal for the pads to be contacting the rotors in a resting state? I would think that would produce excessive heat and wear as I drive around.
Also, since my brakes have been sqealing while driving, not simply on application, does that indicate the piston aren't retracting enough?
