To specifically answer your question, there are no guarantees on the longterm reliability on any working system. Ten years is a long time for ANY vehicle. Old Generation Saab 900's tend to hold up longer than most. But that only holds true for the body and engine. Other components are subject to the engineering tollerances of the suppliers. My advise is to find out what is "cracked". What are they replacing and what are the labor charges involved. Did you tell them that you are leaving the state? I hate to say it, but some people are inclined to do a half **s job if they know it would make it difficult to complain.
