First of all JohnK, thank you for all your suggestions. I have cleaned all connections and shined up the ground. I've flushed the fluid once and the rears a second time upon replacement of the calipers, used a pressure bleed which worked fine. The lights go out very quickly on cold start. Last night I did a little experiment after cleaning the ground. I turned the ignition to run and waited for the lights to go out listening to the pump. Pump shut down soon after the lights went out. Every time I hit the brakes the pump would come on for an extremely short time. Tap dancing on the brakes makes the lights come on. I tried the same thing with my other ABS equipped 900. The lights took much longer to go out. Every third time or so I hit the brake, the pump would come on and stay on for a fair bit longer than on the other system. It sure sounds like the set point has drifted downwards on the pressure switch. Does this make any sense? The mechanism of what happens when one hits the brake remains obscure. It could be a leaking valve bleeding off pressure, but this doesn't jive with the quick turn off of the pump. Hope this isn't too long.
