I have a friend who's heavily into DSM's (Mitsubishi's, Eclipse GSX's) and does custom exhaust systems for lots of people in his club. Being a close friend of his, he said that he'd do the system for me one day (becaue I sure cant afford it right now) for $150 labor plus parts. He will make a 3 piece exhaust system from the turbo back for me. The middle section will be a cat look-alike since in NJ you can get fined for not having a cat installed. This will be made with flanges so that if I need to, I can install a cat.
The only thing he would need is to have a flange that will start off at the turbo. Can I get one?
Also, what size is the OEM turbo exhaust system? 2.25"? I would probably only go for a 2.5inch system. I'm not tuning my car for gobs of power though. Can this be fitted without moving the battery to the trunk? I do want to get rid of the OEM cast elbow that comes from the turbo. Thanks everyone.. g'night.
