As the others have said, the Bentley test only checks the operation of the burn-off function. The rest of the AMM could be toast and the hot wire can still do a burn-off.

Idle hunting/stalling can be a AMM problem, but there are many (much less expensive) things. One symptom I see of a bad AMM is severe hesitation pulling away from a stop. If you press the gas and the engine seems to ignore you, but if you floor it the engine takes off, then that's a sign of a bad AMM.

First off, check for vacuum leaks. After you find the leak, keep looking, because there may be more. Check a vacuum hoses, especially at the ends where they like to crack. Also look for dangling hoses, and hose nipples that look like they could use a hose.

Put in new plugs, and check each one for the proper gap. Use the value for gap listed on the decal in the engine compartment. Don't assume the plugs from the autparts store come properly gapped for your car. Check the timing and set if necessary.

You don't have to unbolt the throttle body - doing so will cause more problems than it solves. Just pull off the big air hose, and spray the throttle plate liberally with Carburetor cleaner. Do this with the engine OFF. Open the throttle plate and use a lint-free rag to wipe the area where it seats. You'll have to bend a little, but it's much easier than unbolting the intake.

Frankly, the LH2.2 system had a cold start idle problem - the idle didn't want to stabilize when the outside air temp was about 50-75 degrees F and the engine cold. Some folks have gotten around this by sticking a resistor in series with the engine temperature sensor (the sensor for the engine control, not the gauge) to 'fool' the control into thinking the engine is warm. But it shouldn't be stalling out.

Just hit the basics - chase vacuum leaks, proper plugs and timing, clean things up, and only then start worrying about replacing expensive parts.
