Camshaft timing

I was just checking my valve clearances and it looks like the camshaft may be advanced one tooth on the camshaft sprocket. With the crankshaft TDC, the mark on the camshaft sprocket is a bit advanced past the mark on the camshaft cap. Would the engine run reasonably well and the valves not interfere if this were so?
