You need to change the length of (i.e., custom-fabricate) the upper trailing links. This will bring the axle forward slightly. The downside (?) is that the rear wheel caster will then change as well, if you don't also fit shorter lower trailing arms.
I do not believe that handling will change if the rear caster setting changes, but I've never tried it...
And now I'm trying to dust off my memory. Are the upper links forward of the axle, or behind it?
You could use what would amount to a short tie rod in place of the link. It would have to be very tough (like, stock-car tough, maybe), but it would be adjustable for length. You could use Heim joints like us racers do, but road dust & grit may destroy them on a fairly regular basis.
This is how we do it on the track...
