Get this, I went to go take the good ol saab in to get a new power steering belt replaced. (it like flipped over and came off the crankpulley.) I also said will you "CHECK" the A/c (not fix!), and put a brand new fuel filter on. After about a hour and a half I come back and the good ol 86 900 t is finished. and its time to pay for the bill. I bet your guessing maybe 150 for a belt and a fuel filter right? Well I end up paying 300 dollars for a A/C timing relay and a fuel filter change. And I still dont have any power steering! They tell me I need a 600$ operation, because my crank pulley is seperated? (oh yeah that includes a new oil pump, seals, and belts) I can not believe this, but I just spent 300 freaking dollars on stupid shit, and I cant even move the steering wheel pulling out of the parking lot!

Has anyone had there crank pulley separate? and how much did you pay to replace it? should i just junk my beautiful 900 and buy a WRX and save the trouble of paying 80 dollars and hour for a independant saab mechanic? oh yeah i have to put in a new turbo shortly also which is going to be another 600 dollars! Am I getting in over my head? I only paid 2700 dollars for my 900! It has 186000 miles on it, but it looks better than even a 90 or 91 900....
give me some advice please!
