You can easily install vented rotors on the Silver Arrow. You need the entire steering member from a car so-equipped to do so, however. I've done this on my '86 900S, '80 900T, and soon my '78 99 Turbo. Not a problem whatsoever.
Boost situation needs to be looked at. Check the APC solenoid on the radiator crossmember - it's the likely culprit.
