Stalling 900TC: Elementary, my dear Watson?

Thanks in advance to the Sherlock Holmesian readers on the board for helping with this! I am a new owner of a 1991 900TC. The car passed a pre-purchase inspection at a reputable SAAB shop, and was perfect for the first week. Had a little racing idle one morning that ended twice in a stall, then fine all day, then no trouble for several more days. It began intermittently to stall in traffic and on deceleration -- 6 times one day, none the next two days. The service history I've dug up detailing items replaced to fix earlier intermittent stalling is as follows:
(8/10/93) APC solenoid valve hoses
(8/26/93) plastic clamps on divertor valve, AIC valve, turbo bellows
(8/04/95) turbo bypass valve
? AMM (just a reference in 8/04/95 report)
(11/06/97) spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor, plus cleaned throttle housing
(5/29/98) fuel pump, systems relays, AIC valve, rotor button, plus repaired vacuum leak
(8/17/00) main ECU
I've listed these as I am a novice who has no sense yet of which parts would tend to wear out faster, if perhaps they didn't check something else they should have... I have read (thanks to Wm "Chip" Lamb) the FAQ page on vacuum leaks. Further info for you detectives: no hooting sound; uneven idle only sometimes, even during "stall" days; and cold-start problems are in the minority. Any help will be greatly welcome!
Thanks!
DianaB
