I took it down and had the clutch master cylinder replaced. The part cost $105 (mechanic's price) and the whole thing (labor included) came out to $178. It's back to normal now. I was a little worried because the mechanic himself thought I was wrong when I mentioned master cylinder thinking that it was more likely the slave cylinder. He replaced the master and that took care of the problem though!
Thanks to both Bill N. and jim for responding to my message. I would've taken jim's suggestion to do it myself (using a bicycle pump to bleed the system), but there are three problems with this: 1. I had to have the car fixed TODAY as I use it in my work and couldn't trust my car to get me around town to buy a bicycle pump, new master cylinder, etc. 2. I'm no MacGuyver, 3. I'm lazy. Well, that about wraps THAT up then.
Thanks again to Bill N and jim!
