Might not be the brakes at all.
If you have some air trapped in the system, one caliper could squeeze more than another. But given the force that hydraulics apply, if you have no pull under normal braking, you should have no pull under heavy braking.
How about your suspension? Under breaking, the front of the car dips down, and there can be camber and caster changes to the tires. If your alignment is off, there is a sloppy ball joint or suspension bushing, or even if the shocks are tired, you can get some pretty bizarre handling under heavy braking.
When you brake hard, it puts pretty big horizontal loads on the suspension. If a bushing is tired, it will deflect, and that can change the angle of one tire, pulling the car to the side. If one shock is weaker than the other, one side of the car will dip down more than the other, again changing the tire angle.
Make sure your suspension is in good shape, and have a front-end alignment done if you haven't had one recently. Since it's a newtome, assume the last time the car was aligned was when it left the factory.
good luck!
