for road use, regular old dot 4 is more than you should ever need. I got a quart when I bled mine last. ATE Super Blue is also dot 4 fluid, but does not meet dot 4 specs because it is blue. Different generally costs more, but is not necessarily better. If you were going to track race your car, more care would be necessary to combat fade and keep a soild pedal, but I sense that you will not be racing it. If the brakes fade, it is more probable that the whole system was poorly designed and not just one component that needs to be addressed (fluid). example: 62 buick has about 7/8 of one panic stop before fade. Mazda/honda has about 1.5. I have not experienced fade to those levels in my '92, but do not generally tempt fate.
