maybe, maybe not. I do not know. I would assume that clean, never been filled with fluid, ABS manifold would probably work fine, but I would follow directions. Learned that in grade school... A repair to the existing system would definitely be a DOT4 affair. As I said before, DOT 4 is all i use now and all that I suggest that others use. That is, unless they want a project...
