Well, I beleive my problem lies with the Thermo Switch that screws into the radiator. When the engine is hot, and I cross the wires that lead to it, the fan goes on, so according to my bently manual, I have a faulty thermo switch. Now, am I assuming correctly? If I short it their, and it works, would it be safe to assume everything else is working? It seems like it to me, but of course I'm not great with the Saab engine yet. I will have to drain the cooling system to replace this right? Any tips or tricks on how to remove the thermo switch from a radiator?? Its a very tight spot, just like everything else important, that goes wrong!:) Please let me know if you think this is it, or if something else may be wrong, plenty of descriptions below! I hope this one little cheap part can fix it, but I would like some help on draining and removing... like when I drain it, I need something to catch the fluid, but how much should come out? Does it matter if the engines cold or hot? Thanks Again for the help thou!
