Hello friends - once again in the saga of my very reliable, yet hi-mileage 900 I have a prob to remedy. Recently I replaced my trashed driver's side c/v joint & reblt the tripod bearing, replaced balljoints, and so that side's happy. I planned on & got a pair of joints for the pass side, but don't wanna do the c/v since it's quiet and has a clean, uncracked boot. The prob is, I wonder if the squeaky sound I hear on that side(coming from trans side) might be the inner driver making noise, or possibly the tripod bearing. I can distinguish the lower balljoint clunk well enuff, but the squeak's got me wondering - since the hi-heat turbo exhaust runs by there, etc, both the driver and bearing may be what's squeaking? Does that sound right? And if so, can I wait till cooler weather to take it down? Or does inner driver/tripod bearing failure happen real fast? Thanx to all - Toecutter 86 900T 3-dr
