burlyb - yea, I kinda wondered whether the lower arm bushings mite be doing the squeakage, since in my previous life as a restorer of a 65 Mustang those seemed to squeak the same way. I don't doubt that w/ my 15-year-old 900 the bushings are worn, just another thing to renew --- I'll do the balljoints, see how it sounds after that. When I'm in that process, I'll check out the tripod/driver zone and see how it feels. BTW, the shocks are fairly recent KYB's but maybe those bushings are doing the squeak - well, thanx for the input!
