This has been a frustrating exercise. I've replaced all the vac lines, checked all vac fittings, cleaned the AIC, replaced the hooter (it was hooting), and still have an idle that oscillates between near dying to a normal 850 rpm. It is intermittant but seems to be worse when eng. is warm. I've consulted with a locally respected Saab mechanic and he says change the AMM. Does this make sense and can anyone recommend a source for good aftermarket AMM's.
