Which is exactly what it does when cold in the morning. Right after starting I need to keep my foot on the gas to have it run at all, and usually I start it and it chugs badly at around 400rpm, and stalls unless I stomp the gas repeatedly. Then when it finally snaps out of it and will respond to the gas pedal, I can't take my foot off it or it stalls. Then, after I back out of my parking space and attempt to go forwards, I try and keep the revs up when I take off, but the minute I put a load on the engine by releasing the clutch it goes back to its 400rpm sputter and I have to tromp the gas a few times to get it to respond again. After driving a minute or so, if I stop at a light it bounces between 500rpm and 2200 or so (sputters at 500 for a second or so then revs, settles to 500 again....) and then after a minute or so more, it's fine. IE, it's fine as soon as the o2 sensor is online, and the AMM isn't needed as badly.
I think I'm gonna go get that AMM.
