don't know why it should be hard at all to find the H4's, they're used in many applications other than just car/bike road lamps. They are available here in the DC Metro area at all the generic car part stores, like Trak Auto, Pep Boys, Autozone, as well as the mom & pop stores. And the only brands I seem to run into are philips or osram that are boxed as Wagners/etc. If for some reason you don't live near a major metro area, go to a car place online & order - easy also, probably many more options.
