I tow Saabs all over the country. The manual ones will tow fine if you leave it in neutral. The automatic ones you need to pull the axles and replace them with suitable old outer CV stubs. If you are worried about miles disconnect the speedo under the car at the rear[firewall] side of the trans. I use an old front bumper inner support[the aluminum part only, Strip off the urethane cover] and have attached my tow bar brackets to that. That way whenever I need to tow a Saab I just pull the two bumper screws and replace the bumper with my custom tow bar mount.
Keep in mind you will also need tail lights for the Saab I have a roof rack bar mounted with lights but you could just buy a trailer light kit and tape them into the back window
