Sounds like a potential big problem. I would take it to a saab mechanic and save yourself the nonsense of non-saabers. I would call Jim or Andy at Sobstory (Moncrief Marketing) and have them take a look. They are in Flemington, NJ which is a 1hr to 1 1/2hr hike from Manhattan where I live too. You can reach them at (800)583-0370. I have had some work done there. I was very satisfied both with the work and the price (a nice change from anywhere near Manhattan including John in Edgewater (especially) and Roland in Brooklyn). I will have all major stuff done there from now on. Jim is very highly regarded on this site and http://www.sobstory.com is a TSN sponsor and a great place for parts - I know his prices are very competitively priced. There is a bus to/from Manhattan nearby or the Liberty Outlets to kill a few hours is a quick walk. As far as Oil changes - I have gone to Bay Ridge Saab for my oil changes 24.95 and they are open until midnight!!!! I was floored when I found out. They promise to have you out in at least an hour. Be forewarned however that their dedicated Saab mechanics usually go home much earlier, but at least they know something, which is more than those guys at jiffy lube who somehow forgot to put my drain plug back in once on my old volvo 240 - The guy was calling after me as I was driving out....doh. I didn't ask.
