What kind of driving are you seeing these temp readings? If you have the stock thermostate and fan switch then you should see the gauge at about 1/2 when on highway and about 2/3 in stop and go traffic. The fans should go on about 2/3 as well. IF this is what your seeing then the temp readings are fine. IF you wish to lower that then you will have to get a lower temp thermostat, you could also use the lower degree fan switch as well but many say its not necessary. I just switched to the lower 82degree (I think that's right) thermostat, new coolant lines, recently recored radiator, and 50/50 mix dexcool and distilled water. I bought the lower temp fan switch as well but haven't installed yet. My system has come down a bit, I'm seeing temp ranges of about 1/2 stop and go and just under that for highway driving. Hope I helped. If you need more info talk to KevinK he's the resident expert on cooling systems.
