It's a Saab, so it's good in snow. It's the same chassis as a 900, which is a great snow car. Just put four snow tires on. That's true of any car, in my opinion. 'All-season' tires just don't cut it, soft top or no.
The other advantages are a volcanic heater and heated seats. This keeps you comfortable, which is essential. Saabs also have very good defrosting.
The convertable top is insulated, so it will do a better job of keeping you warm. Of course, any covertable top will leak more air where it joins the body than a hardtop, but between the insulation and the powerful heater, you'll be fine.
The real drawback is visibility. The only time a convertable has good visibility is with the top down. Make sure you drive the car with the top up, because it's going to be that way most of the winter (depending on where you live). Make sure you don't feel clastaphobic, and that you can see what you need to see to avoid accidents.
