spring loading.
The adjustment is made on the control unit located in front of the gear lever housing.
1. Remove the front passenger seat and fold back sufficient of the carpeting to allow the heating duct to be dismantled.
2. select third gear.
3. Remove the bolts(screws) holding the control unit(u-shaped) onto the gear lever housing.
4. Adjust the control unit so that the rollers reach the bottom of the plunger groove and the tension spring adopts its shortest length. Retighten the control unit.
5. Return the gear lever to neutral and check that the spring-loading moves the gear lever across the gate to a position opposite 3rd and 4th gear.
6. Refit heating duct, carpeting, and seat.
I hope this helps.
