I'm the original owner of a '93 900S with, as of this morning, 119192 miles. The timing chain is original, as is the clutch, other than the master cylinder that failed at 115311 ($276.60). My father taught me to drive a "stick-shift" using our then-new '67 Corvair Monza convertible 4-speed, and he was (and is) a fanatic about proper clutch usage when driving, lessons I learned well, so I echo the other sentiments: If treated right, a clutch should endure for a very long time. My daughter will be taught how to drive a manual transmission using the 900 in two years, and those lessons will again be passed on.
