What a disaster. Glad to get car out of Aamco after a 6 week tranny rebuild ordeal. The tranny was rebuilt perfectly, however, the final checks and rewiring on the engine is a disaster. this week it will be towed to a mechanic since car won't run. It turns over for 5 seconds then dies. The alternator looks like this...and it is brand new..they offered to put it in while the engine was out. Above the voltage regulator(mouth), are 2 nuts;(eyes),the nut on the right(13mm), has a huge gauge red wire running to the starter selonoid. The other nut to its left, has a small male post on it. Connected to this small post is a female small guage black wire which runs into a small harness. the other wire coming out of this harness, is a blue,small gauge, female which is connected to the male fitting, just above the oil filter. Isn't there supposed to be a GREEN wire somewhere to be hooked up? And where is the black ground?
